Derek Walcott serves as Vice President of Corporate Services & Government at BRW, where he leads the company’s Corporate Services division, overseeing Information Technology, Safety, Human Resources, Compliance, and Government programs. With nearly two decades of experience in trucking, logistics, and defense transportation, Derek brings a strategic, solutions-focused approach to aligning operational infrastructure with long-term business growth.

Known for his team-first leadership style and results-driven mindset, Derek has built a career spanning business development, operations, strategic planning, security, and administration. His ability to connect people, processes, and organizations has helped drive measurable operational improvements and sustainable revenue growth across multiple business units.

A recognized leader in government and defense transportation markets, Derek has successfully led divisions generating nearly more than $100 million in annual revenue. He has worked extensively with owner-operator, asset-based, and brokerage organizations, including Mercer Transportation, Bennett Motor Express, Bennett Heavy & Specialized, and Ace Doran.

Throughout his career, he has delivered innovative solutions while maintaining strict regulatory compliance and operational excellence within highly complex environments.

At BRW, Derek is responsible for strengthening enterprise-wide support functions, ensuring alignment between corporate infrastructure and operational performance while advancing the company’s presence in government and defense sectors. He remains committed to collaboration, accountability, and elevating industry standards through strong leadership and disciplined execution.

Derek resides in Tyrone, Georgia, with his wife, Kristen, and their two children, Mason and Avery. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and playing golf.
