BRW Recognized as a Top Employer for Women in Trucking

At BRW, people are the company’s greatest asset and that includes creating an environment where women can thrive at every level of the organization, from the driver’s seat to the executive suite.

BRW is proud to announce it has been recognized by the Women in Trucking Association (WIT) as one of the Best Fleets for Females to Work in Transportation. This recognition reflects BRW’s ongoing commitment to advancing women in trucking and logistics, supporting their professional growth, and maintaining a culture grounded in Integrity in Motion.

Women in Leadership on the Rise at BRW

At BRW, talent, character, and contribution – not gender – determine opportunity. Women are advancing across departments including leadership, operations, and logistics, and their impact continues to shape the company’s culture and long-term success.

For the first time in BRW’s history, women make up half of the company’s executive leadership team a milestone that demonstrates intentional progress toward equity and inclusion.

“Being recognized among the best fleets for women to work is a true honor,” said Misty Skinner, Vice President of Culture and Communication at BRW. “I’m celebrating 20 years with BR Williams this month, and over those years, I’ve watched women in the trucking industry and within our own leadership, grow in strength and numbers. I absolutely love seeing more women take the lead in this field! This recognition isn’t the finish line… BRW will keep raising the bar.”

The Evolving Landscape of Women in Trucking

The trucking industry has seen meaningful progress in gender representation in recent years. The 2024–2025 WIT Index shows that for fleets with fewer than 500 employees, women represent approximately 12.5% of professional drivers, while large carriers report around 10.5%. In 2022, women made up 13.7% of over-the-road truck drivers and held significant representation in other roles, including 44.7% of dispatchers and 74.9% of HR/talent management professionals.

Women are steadily reshaping the trucking landscape and BRW is proud to be part of that movement by fostering a workplace where women can succeed, lead, and inspire at every level.

Thank you again to Women In Trucking for this honor and for believing in women and for everything you do to advance female careers across the transportation industry.
